About Me

My photo
Lesley
I am a christian lady living with my wonderful husband and two puppies. My main love is cross stitching, especially the old-time samplers and Quaker styles that reminds me of our connection with the past. I learned the love of needle and thread, fabric and floss at the feet of my grandmother beginning at age thirteen. (oh my, 31 yrs. ago!) She started me with simple embroidery. I can still clearly remember that first afternoon learning the running stitch and being so proud! Then she taught me some simple patchwork quilting and later on I discoverd cross stitching myself, and it was love at first sight. I look forward to meeting new friends around the world, cause you can't have too many friends, especially those who have the same love!

2011 Projects

A common trap that many of us fall into each new year is to plan the million and one cross stitch projects which we are determined to complete. This year, I refuse to set myself up once again in that way! I have decided to choose only six cross stitch items which I would love to complete this year. That gives me two months per project which I feel is more realistic for me. Especially when the time begins to slip away easily during spring and summer to gardening and other outdoor activities. Here are the six I have chosen.
